Can anyone explain me about the premium points in rapidshare?
I heard of this premium points in rapidshare but don’t know it… Can anyone explain me these points?

First you must be a premium member, wich mean you must have pay for an account with rapidshare.
Second you must upload some files to your rapidshare folders.
Third everytime someone else download the files you uploaded you earned points, called premium-points.
So to get premium points upload files in your account that people need, and then share the URL with others. (For every file you upload ,Rapidshare give you an URL for this file) The more people use this URL , the more premium-points you get.
Everytime you log-in to your premium account, you can see how many POINTS you get in the second line from top as in the example here:
“Hello, “username”! Your account is valid until Mon, 9. Jun 2008. If you want to extend your account, just click on “Extend Account” below. You have collected 5 Premium-Points so far”
Click on premium points for more details.

Can you work for Rapidshare blocking illegal content?

No. Many people who will answer your question will proberly say Rapid Share is illigal. Rapid Share is not illigal as it only hosts them but the people who upload them onto it say put a movie torrent on there that is at the cinema, they are doing something wrong you are just the viewer not the feeder (person who put the thing on there).

RapidShare?
I am new at this rapid share thing, so I do not know quite what to do. When I upload every thing for rapid share and start the download and put in the CD key and start downloading it is like it would if I had bought it from the store, but after it does the first CD it says “Please Insert Disk Number 2” what do I do when it gets to that? I just can’t insert a disk because it is a file on my desktop and not on a disk. Can you explain in simple terms for me because I never did any thing like this? I now it has some thing to do with the cracked exe thing, but I don’t know what to do with the thing exactly. So like I said I am a noob at this thing so I would like some help from the people who used this before and have got the thing they downloaded to work.

rapidshare?
i can’t download file in rapidshare. it say download limit for free user…i download at internet rental…..so what i do to download file in rapidshare

Just wait an hour and try it again. With rapid share free you need to wait for download tickets, if you have just downloaded something you will have to wait anywhere from 10 mins to an hour for another download ticket.

I feel crazy myself to ask this question. Is there any software to convert rapidshare links into megaupload ?
I have read in a forum in which some requesting a user to convert their rapidshare links into megaupload links. Is it possible? If it is possible How?

What the person meant was they were asking the person who was sharing the file via rapidshare to also share it through megaupload. You can’t convert th elinks, but you can upload it to both services.

How much would it cost to design web system like rapidshare?
I was just wondering what cost would be needed to make a website like rapidshare or a website that allows users to upload items and share them to public. Thank you.
You guys so far are answering the hardware costs. I mean like how much would it cost for someone to *design* the site, not just the server side stuff. Thank you for your quick responses though.

The same as a normal site if you plan on not encrypting the data, being vulnerable to attacks, and not having many clients/users. If you want a site that can be as prominent as rapidshare, it may cost hundreds (0 or so for a small amount of space) of dollars a year.
